The first photo shows the old garage gone ready for new build to start.

I decided that a timber frame with a metal inserts for security would be by far the fastest way in building the new room and the builder started.

We used weather board and 2" by 3" timber with insulation in both walls and flooring.

The builder also came up with a cathederal ceiling design as you can see in the photo that did add to the original design.

Once the weather board is in place it was covered with a sheet of steel mesh and this is to  be rendered weather permitting then painted with an exterior paint.

On the inside he added another sheet of 18mm weather board plus foam for insulation to keep the heat in.

The inside was then plasterboarded and painted.
