I work for the local education authority as an IMS and ICT Developement officer. The photograph shows the team I work with.
My position involves the design and management of schools networks and computer systems.This was a Unix based system in the late 80s and now has been migrated fully to a Microsoft platform.
I became a Microsoft Engineer in 1996 and in May 2006 became a Charted Engineer.
I have always worked within an IT field and started in 1984 working as a trainee bench engineer I moved onto field support then onto workshop manager in 1993 living in Sheffield.
I have contracted for Channel 4, ITV and Jim Henson.I have worked as a senior field engineer in 5 European countries while I was employed by Eurosystem.
I have relocated twice once moving to Sheffield to manage a workshop of 15 engineers the second time was a 6 months contract in London setting up a workshop and making sure we gained an ISO award.
