I have worked for Suffolk County Council since 1998. I joined as a contractor and in 2001 became a full time employee.
I am employed as an IMS and ICT Development Officer.
In the early days I worked upon Unix system and was involved in the system migration from this to a Microsoft platform.
I am a Microsoft Engineer and in May 2006 became a Chartered Engineer.
I started my work as a Junior Bench engineer soon after I completed an HNC in electronics.
I have worked as a contractor for Jim Hensons,"The Man who bought us the Muppets"
Channel 4 as a design engineer and Channel 5 when it first started with data and Oracle migration.
I moved to Sheffield and became a workshop manager for an AppleMac agent and then became Apple trained. I was asked to learn and work towards gaining the company at that time ISO9001. BS5750.
Later I moved over to Microsoft and worked for a local training team teaching NT4 and Windows 2000.
I have worked as a Senior Field support engineer covering support in many European countries.
Thats about it now in my 40s I have slowed down and keep more social hours making sure I see my children and family more.
